In the therapy room I have worked with many couples over the years who struggled to communicate effectively, resolve conflict, and have become more distant with each other. The inherent need we all have to feel seen, heard, and valued is so important with those close to us and moreover in our romantic relationships. In imago relationship therapy, you will learn ways to communicate more effectively, understand the roots of recurring patterns, and develop tools to stay connected even during difficult conversations. I will provide a safe space for the two of you to collaborate on breaking through the patterns that are keeping you “stuck”. Imago can assist you to rebuild trust, strengthen intimacy where you can co-create a safer more loving relationship.
Many couples will proceed to stay together and feel more connected with each other; however for some couples the decision may be to separate in which case I can guide you both towards a cooperative and respectful resolution.
