Imago Clinical Skills Face to Face Training

Imago Clinical Skills is ten days of advanced couples therapy training, delivered in two blocks of five. This is where you move from knowing Imago to doing it — with real complexity, live supervision of your own cases, and daily practice in triads with feedback from two trainers who bring genuinely different teaching styles.

Block 1: Days 3–7

• Deepening and extending the Imago Dialogue Process
• Holding a couple through resistance and difficulty
• Working the Dialogue across a full session structure
• Understanding relationship patterns through Imago theory
• Daily triad practice with peer and trainer feedback

Block 2: Days 8–12

• Advanced Imago processes and interventions
• Introducing the Behaviour Change Request process
• Working with high-conflict couples and entrenched patterns
• Supporting couples through affairs and ruptures in trust
• Working with anger safely in the therapy room
• Live supervision of your own couple cases
• Consolidating your identity as an Imago Relationship Therapist

Throughout both blocks, we work with an explicitly intersectional lens — culture, identity, neurodivergence, power dynamics. The couples you’ll actually see won’t all look the same, and this training prepares you for that. We’re based in Manchester, which means accessible, face-to-face training in the north.
